A Complete Unknown filming, February 2024

A Complete Unknown, starring Timothee Chalamet as Dylan, covers the years from Dylan’s arrival in New York through his appearance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965…and possibly onward to his motorcycle accident in 1966. Elijah Wald’s book, Dylan Goes Electric, our October 2023 book selection, is one source for the movie…and that allows us to keep an eye on how they treat that night in Newport.
