Ralpheo Falco’s No One to Meet, Now on Audio

In 2022, Ralpheo Falco, professor of English at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, published No One to Meet: Imitation and Originality in the Songs of Bob Dylan. The hardcover is reasonably priced and the book has just been added to audible.com. I highly recommend this book for those of you that crave academic analysis of Dylan’s work, his method, and its place and significance within the larger context of the nature of artistic expression. Richard Thomas’ book Why Dylan Matters is a sibling book, in a sense, but one that is more attuned, I think, to a public audience (as well as focusing on the influence of classical Roman and Greek art on Dylan). Yet for depth of analysis of important questions, I think Falco’s book will be an indispensable and key reference. Find it at the University of Alabama Press.
